We manage Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) for our clients. Our WOTC department submits individual employee information to state governments for their review. Upon approval, credits are distributed to ownership.
The WOTC program can reduce an employer’s federal income tax liability by as much as $9,600 per hired employee. No limit is imposed on the number of individuals an employer can hire to qualify to claim the tax credit. Eligible target groups include:
- Unemployed / disabled veterans
- TANF recipients
- SNAP recipients
- Residents living in designated zones
- Vocational rehab referrals
- Supplemental security income recipients
- Qualified long-term unemployed persons
