The Challenge

The City of Boynton Beach faced an urgent challenge when its existing BenAdmin system could not support the new Aflac Group products in time for its upcoming enrollment period. With a tight timeline and 1,500 employees needing benefits enrollment, a quick and efficient solution was critical to ensure every employee had access to their benefits options.

Brian Patten and Associates (BPA) quickly stepped in with a customized technology solution to manage the new Aflac Group products, ensuring seamless enrollment despite the BenAdmin system’s limitations. BPA also rolled out text campaigns to notify employees of enrollment dates, helping to increase awareness and participation.

To further assist the City’s workforce, BPA trained five onsite benefits coaches. These experts were available between August 23 and September 1 to guide employees through their options and recommend the best benefits packages tailored to their individual needs.

BPA coordinated a swift and effective deployment of technology solutions for Aflac products. The benefit coaches provided a hands-on, personalized approach by being onsite to engage with employees directly. By leveraging these coaches and technology tools, BPA ensured that all 1,500 employees were informed and empowered to make the best benefits choices.

$220k in Total Production was generated through open enrollment, with no new hires processed during this specific period.
